I’m just over here dreaming of when we might be able to take a trip/vacation again. Don’t get me wrong living right by Walt Disney World and within driving distance to the beach is nice but after almost a year of staying at/close to home I’m ready to go someplace different.

Dear Past Me,

You got this,even when it feels like you don’t. You were put here to shine your light. To speak your truth. To be fully expressed, and immersed in, things that bring you joy.

Becoming more connected to the divine and to your souls purpose isn’t all love and light. It takes work. You will be triggered, discover traumas you buried and ask yourself why a whole lot. Transformation = Change and the definition of change is to make or become different. That doesn’t happen without making tangible shifts in your life and mindset.

The journey will also be filled with love, support and some surprises. Remember to always trust your intuition. Nothing that was meant for you will ever pass you by.

Whether it’s turning down an invite when I reall

Whether it’s turning down an invite when I really want to stay in my bed, or telling a friend I’m not able to help when my plate is already overflowing. Doing and saying yes has always been a struggle.

The patriarchy has taught us that’s it’s selfless to say no. That our worth is based on what we do for other people and what they think of us. Especially if you’re a mom and it involves the people you love.

But if there’s one thing I have finally learned, it’s that having some boundaries is ok. In fact, I encourage you to draw some lines. You can’t pour from an empty cup and it’s ok to put yourself first.

Marie Forleo said it perfectly. “Machines are built to work 24/7, but not human beings. It's crucial that we put boundaries in place for ourselves, to have offline time, exercise and sleep, time with loved ones and friends and family that's not tethered to a screen. That's how we start to get into the dance between being effective and productive with our time, and also being healthy and sane human beings.”
